Saturday, we explored the MN Zoo, and Whitley was very observant of all the wildlife around her. It was so fun to watch her eyes when they spied an animal, and see the curiosity and concentration on her face as she tracked the creature's every move. This first happened at the prairie dog exhibit where she watched one little friend scamper all around its sandy habitat. She also adored the goats and cows of the farm, and a slew of strange and up close creatures from the tropics. Her favorites, though, were probably the newborn piglets and the fish of the coral reef. (I couldn't get over the pigs myself. The mother just lay on her side, enormous and exhausted, with her frantic, spotted babies scrambling for a turn to gnaw on her teats. Ugh. I felt so sorry for her, and glad my breastfeeding days are over for a while!) We took some fun pictures of the outing to share here.

The Watsons on the farm! Whitley LOVED taking pictures in this thing. She was SOOO cute peeping through!

Staring at the piglets with Day Day.
