June: Farewell, The Little School!

In June, Tom and I finished up another year of teaching (his 18th, my 13th), and Whitley finished her last month of preschool!  We really liked having her at The Little School, as we got to meet many nice families and teachers.  On Saturday, June 23rd we attended Whitley's Graduation Celebration on the school's campus.  It consisted of a brief program in which the kids received a certificate and photo album and sang a few of their favorite songs.  Afterward there was a big pot-luck lunch, dancing, water play, and face-painting by yours truly!  Whitley was so happy; she beamed as she sat before the audience of parents.  Farewell, The Little School!  Whitley will start Kindergarten in August, indeed a "New Adventure"!  

We celebrated a nice Father's Day weekend with CC, Day Day, Grammy and Papa.  Here Day Day opens his presents.

Ms. Amanda was one of Whitley's teachers before she moved to Washington D.C. in May.  She came back for the graduation.

Tom and I went away to Blowing Rock in the mountains for two nights, and Whitley stayed behind with CC and Day Day.  We went on two nice hikes and enjoyed some delicious meals.  

Tom feels very at home in this environment.  It looks like Vermont!
