On Sunday, March 23rd, Whitley lost her first tooth! The top two were very loose, but one in particular was wiggling all around. Whitley was in the bath tub, and I told her, "Oh, honey, that tooth needs to come out. Just go ahead and pull it." Well, I was shocked when she did just that! She gripped it with her fingers, gave a strong tug, and out it came! She was even more surprised than I was though, at the strangeness of it, and the blood that appeared afterward. I hugged her and kissed her and said how exiting it all was, and she came around. She couldn't wait to Facetime CC and Day Day and then Drew and David to show them her new look. And, of course, she was thrilled about her first visit from the tooth fairy.
Incidentally, that first tooth was the only one she pulled. She's lost two more since, and both fell out while she was eating (a cheeseburger and grilled cheese sandwich, respectively.) :)
