On Friday, Tom and I went to the movies again while CC amused Whitley at the mall, treating her to something very special- her first professional toenail polish! (Now, I didn't get my first pedicure until after college, but that is neither here nor there...) Mom said that Whitley was very good, chirping, "Thank you!" after each little step. She selected a bright pink polish, and her big toes were embellished with tiny white flowers. The result was super cute; I'm so angry I neglected to take a picture of her little feet!
Saturday, we all drove to the historic, riverfront town of Stillwater, MN. We ate a nice lunch overlooking the water, and then I talked my parents and Tom into going on a trolley tour of the area with me. They agreed begrudgingly, but I thought it was fun, Whitley was very good throughout, and Mom even admitted the historic Victorian mansions were quite pretty. As an added bonus, the guide pointed out "Teddy Bear Park," designed specifically for 3-7 year olds. Mom and I walked Whitley up to it right after the tour, and we were charmed by its delightful elements and decorative cement teddy bears.
Whitley seems very interested in the toe-painting process.

Whitley was riding in style in CC and Day Day's "Grandelade!" It has movie screens, and I thought Whitley was so cute, wearing her headphones and grinning at the screen. There was not one complaint out of her as we cruised all through the Twin Cities!
My pretty parents in Stillwater. :)
All boarded on the trolley, ready to go! Isn't Tom sooo excited? hee hee
For some reason, we are not happy unless we eat ourselves sick on vacation, so here we are, at The Ol' Spaghetti Factory, just a few hours after eating lunch in Stillwater. It is a chain my parents were familiar with when we lived in Illinois, and they had been meaning to revisit it since living in MN. I can see why they remembered it! I sure enjoyed my pasta, and we had to ask for extra meatballs for Whitley. It was definitely the biggest meal my little girl ate throughout the whole trip!
We had SUCH a great time in Minnesota! Thanks, CC and Day Day for hosting another wonderful trip!
