I like the waterslids and wave pool.
Summer has been rolling on, and July is surprisingly almost over! After returning from the mountains, we remained around home for a couple of weeks. Whitley and I went on a few "play dates" with a boy from her Kindergarten class. They played in his yard and in his inflatable pool. He and his mom also invited us to join them at their church's Vacation Bible School one night. Whitley enjoyed the event, particularly the water slide and ice cream at the end. She and I also met up with a friend of mine and her daughter at the Greensboro Science Museum. I had been wanting to go there for years, and it's a great place! Lots of animals and fun exhibits. Then this past Wednesday, we really had a family adventure.. We spent the night at Great Wolf Lodge! Stacy and the boys have been a few times, but we'd never tried it. We had a wonderful, but exhausting stay. I think we rode water slides (and climbed the several steps to get to them) for nearly seven hours total. Ooooh, our legs were sore! Worth it, though. They have some exciting slides! Our water girl loved every minute, especially the "wavey pool," as she called it.

Whitley is in that bubble, and an otter is running across it. She could have stayed in there forever! The otters were really cute and active. |
| Penguins are there, too. (Um, real ones. Not just those.) |
| Addy was a little shy about hugging one. |
| Petting a sting ray. |
| Whitley gets checked out by the meerkats. So cute! |
| She also made a few friends at the petting zoo. |
| These photos are funny. I told her to imitate Daddy and act like she was scared of the Tyrannosaurus. We sent him the picture. |
| What an actress! She did a great job! |
| Arriving at Great Wolf Lodge! Got her ears on! |
| Seat in the lobby. |
| Posing in front of the wave pool. |
| That splash station in the background was fun, too! Tom loved being over there when the big bucket on top dumped the water out. |
| I didn't get many pictures of the water park itself, as I was too busy getting soaked! I had to put the camera in our room. Small price to pay for family fun. :) |
| Meeting Oliver and getting a balloon flower just before we left. |
