July 2-6: Back to the Beach

We did  face painting. We had a party for Jamie  and Daddy.

Tom, Whitley and I went back to Myrtle Beach on July 2nd for a few days of fun with my parents before the Davises, Jamie and Ty, Aunt Kim and Uncle Dreg, and Aunt Mary came down to really get the party started on July 4th.  Wednesday afternoon was lovely on the beach and we stayed into the early evening.  A tropical storm rolled in Thursday, so we spent most of the day at the house before venturing out into the wind for happy hour.  CC and Day Day know the best places!
On Friday, the 4th, we set up a little baby shower for our cousin Jamie who is expecting her first child, a little girl, in October.  It was so fun to see her pretty glowing self and her belly!  Jamie was very appreciative of her gifts, and Drew, David and Whitley were excited to see her open them (and have cake!)  The guys golfed while we had the shower and played Telephone Pictionary.  The kids were quite good at it!  We had a yummy jambalaya dinner that night, and an awesome fireworks show put on by George.  Saturday morning we quickly headed to the beach.  Whitley continues to be our water girl and would spend every second in the ocean if she could.  Fortunately she had a lot of folks to go in with her!  Saturday night was another fun evening and feast, including a mini-birthday party for my hubby!  Tom is 41, and we celebrated in Myrtle with cake, gifts, and Harry Potter party hats.  :) We Watsons headed home Sunday morning while everyone else went on on a boat to Bird Island.  It was so wonderful to see everyone, though!  I am so thankful for my family!
"Oscar's" in Myrtle Beach is literally wall-to-wall stuff.  CC and Day Day knew Whitley would get a kick out of it!  There was also an arcade.  Whitley played Pacman for the first time.  :)
"Chuck's" was another favorite spot for Whitley.  Their "Happy Hour" special includes free, all-you-can-eat popcorn, nachos, cheese-n-crackers, and Goldfish!  Heaven for our little girl.  (And the drinks are huge!)
Jamie arrives!  The kids love her and Ty to pieces.
Our little baby shower.
Opening gifts with a lot of helping hands.  :)
Checking out the new baby swing.
Cake!
Second annual 4th of July face-painting.  Drewby was so cute.  He drew a face on paper and then illustrated it with what he wanted. He was very specific!  Such a clever and creative boy.
Our beach crew.
Water's coming in!
Whitley got out of the water for a few minutes to dig in a hole with the boys.
Happy Birthday, Tom!
Peanut-butter M-&-Ms on the cake, naturally.
Love my happy family!
Kiki-man gets excited about his cake!
