Where Dreams Come True!

The Watsons are back from Disney! We spent a magical four days in Orlando, checking out the Disney parks with some of our very favorite people. CC, Day Day, Grammy, Papa, Stacy, George, Drew, David, and Judy were all there to share in the fun. Everything went so well, and we all had a great time.

On Thursday, Jan. 12, after a quick and early flight on Southwest, Day Day picked us up, and drove us straight to Hollywood Studios. This was a must-see for us, since that's where one can meet... Lightning McQueen! What a dream come true for Whitley! CC and Stacy were actually the ones to stumble upon him after taking Whitley and David to see the Muppet 3D show. They said she was jumping up and down, overjoyed, and even the Disney photographer was chuckling at her excitement. I still can't believe I missed it (Tom and I were riding "Star Tours" with the rest of our crew), but at least I got to sit next to her during the Car Stunt Show, in which McQueen makes an appearance. She was pretty pumped about that, too. Other high-lights of the day include seeing the live "Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast" shows, and riding the Toy Story ride. At "Beauty," a nice man working the entrance asked Whitley if she wanted to help him out and be a princess in the show! Well, my shy girl politely declined, to which my sister turned to me and said, "That must kill you." Ha! Yes, I would have gladly taken her place, but I didn't blame Whitley for being hesitant. There's a lot of people in that audience! Besides, she enjoyed her seat in the crowd just as much, enthralled with the performances and even pantomiming the dance moves. :)Two cute Cars. Two happy kids.
This Toy Story Ride was a 3D game. We shot digital rings, balls, and more at scenes inspired by the movies. It was a riot!

Enjoying the sunny weather, while waiting for the stunt show.

McQueen's showed up!

Sitting on Day Day's lap for "Beauty and the Beast."

Just lovin' every second!

Not quite Broadway, but pretty close!

We brought Whitley's stroller, but she pretty much wanted to share with the Davis boys the whole trip. Good thing it could fit three, and kind Uncle George didn't mind pushing.

I couldn't believe how much we did that first afternoon. Day one down, and already a fun-packed vacation!
