Saturday night, we met up with the Kellett's for our annual December dinner. We met at Tyler's, and then walked over to the DPAC to check out the Christmas trees displayed, enjoying all the lights along the way. It was all very pretty, and the dinner itself was entertaining. We had terrible service- the restaurant was packed with diners and three private parties- and I got the biggest kick out of Whitley and Nolan voicing their disgust! Whitley's eyes were peeled for our waiter the whole time, and she'd call out, "There he is!" whenever he hurried past. She kept saying, "Mommy, where'd that boy go?" or "Can you tell that big man I want quesadilla and fries, please?" At one point, he dumped a glass of water all over the table, drenching Nolan. So, when I was griping about the service to Stacy on the phone, Whitley chimed in, "And he was always spilling things!" hee hee
All the trees outside of Tyler's were decorated.
Community groups decorate trees in an annual contest, and they display them outside of the DPAC. Whitley is posing in front of the Girls' Scouts' tree. See the badges?
