Happy Halloween!

This Halloween was another fun one as we stuck with our plan from the last few years- costume party at our house on Saturday and then trick-or-treating with the Davis family. It was a wet night for walking the neighborhood, but the rain sure didn't dampen their enthusiasm! Drew, David and Whitley were raring to go, umbrellas and all! Whitley was an old pro at getting candy this year, shouting "Trick-or-treat!" with gusto when the door was opened, and remembering to say thank you most of the time. (Now if we could only get her to stop reaching for more...) She wasn't frightened by the inflatable decorations this year either, and even commented that crouching under a mass of spiderwebs on one doorstep was fun! OK, so she was scared of Drew with his Spiderman mask on before we got going, and didn't want to be anywhere near a young boy in the Scream mask, but I still thought she was pretty brave overall. The cousins were such a excited and precious group; I couldn't help but happily think how they are exactly what someone wants to see when they open the door on Halloween. And the rain ended up quitting, too. :)
Boo on you, rain!

Lady Bug and Spiderman

Drew gets into character for the camera. :)

Back home, trying out some treats!

I had to get my picture with this cute candy monster!

Tom and I; Katie and Ted. Our friends love dressing up as much as we do, if not more! Katie made so many parts of her costume!

When I saw this black dress of my mom's, I knew I wanted to be a flapper for Halloween. Tom wasn't too excited about dressing as a gangster, however, so he opted for his all time favorite- Indiana Jones! It didn't bother me. I love Indie!

George and Stacy were scary vampires! I think George did the makeup- for sure the bite marks on Stacy's neck. She said Drew was fascinated by it! But I'm glad Whitley didn't see them; she might never have recovered! VERY realistic.
