On Saturday, August 6, nearly sixty friends and loved ones of Dick and Judy Watson gathered to celebrate with them in honor of their fifty years of marriage. It was a beautiful evening in a picturesque setting, and the celebrated couple radiated happiness and gratitude. Everyone in attendance was laughing, chatting, enjoying the food and company; it truly was a special evening. There were appetizers, a barbecue dinner buffet, an hour of tearful, congratulatory toasts, games on the lawn, and even some dancing! Whitley especially loved the dance party hosted by DJ master, Uncle Dave. She bounced and spun amidst all the other cousins. (I really wish I had a some pictures of it, but of course, I was dancing, too!)
Whitley was thrilled there was a swing to play on.
A bit more rustic than hers at home. :)
I think this picture is so cute! She was willing to pose for me, but the pout is proof she'd much rather be on the swing. Even disgruntled, she is pretty to me!
So many pictures were taken of our group, but I doubt anyone got a perfect one. This is the best one on my camera! A good-lookin' crew, and a family I'm so happy to be a part of. :)
There was a little table with coloring for the kids.
And a barn full of yammering goats provided more entertainment!
