I'm going to interrupt my Christmas blogs quickly to post a few picture of Whitley's first movie going experience. Today, Tom and I took her to see Disney's The Princess and the Frog. (It was really cute, by the way! I enjoyed the N.O. setting and jazz music very much!) Whitley seemed to know something was up this morning, and was running around excitedly before we left. In the car, she started cheering, "Yay!" and "Whee!" We got in our seats a bit too early, and Whitley spent a little too much time trotting up and down our aisle, but once the previews started, her eyes were glued to the screen. About halfway through the film, Whitley started leaning on my arm, so I pulled her onto my lap. She sweetly wrapped her arms around my neck, but never dozed or drifted. We knew she was paying attention by her calling out, "Princess!", "Frog!" and "Alligator!" ( I don't think she disturbed anyone, though.) I think Tom and I will have no trouble getting her to the theater again. From the way her little hand kept reaching for the giant popcorn we all shared, I think the snacks alone would be enough to tempt her!
