Whitley's tree! Tom bought this pink dogwood just after Whitley was born, and this year it bloomed! You can't quite see it against the green of the other trees, but it was really pretty. :)
We had a wonderful family weekend, but unfortunately, my pictures don't reflect all of it! Friday night, Tom, Whitley and I attended our local Dogwood festival. We looked at the rides, listened to the band playing, received a little balloon, and shared a funnel cake. Whitley especially enjoyed the music, stopping every few steps to dance in the street. I tried to get a video of it, but it was difficult since she kept spinning into passersby! The next day we hosted our neighborhood clean up, with Tom grilling out burgers and bratwursts for everyone. Then Sunday, it was over to the Davis house to see CC and Day Day after their weekend at Myrtle beach. Whitley and Drew loved seeing their grandparents, and they made the most of it by playing extra hard! (When I talked to Day Day after he arrived home in MN, he was worn out!) I've included some pictures from the weekend, as well as a video which shows all that Whitley "nose". :)
Whitley has been steadily learning her body parts since she was about one. Her nose and tummy were the early favorites, but now we're branching out to cover almost everything else. She likes the song, "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," probably because "head" seems to be her favorite. :)
