Tom, Whitley and I have enjoyed a perfect, three-day Easter weekend! Friday morning, we drove to Duke gardens to enjoy the bright spring flowers. Whitley especially enjoyed watching the ducks in the pond, and the little kids feeding them. She also ran around in the field, and played "ball" with a few boys around her age. As we were about to leave, the Davis crew arrived, and Whitley and Drew had time for a few hugs and kisses before we strolled out. On Saturday, Stacy and Drew came out for a visit, and the kids were super fun, playing with Whitley's kitchen, Dora van, and other toys. Today, Whitley awoke to an Easter egg hunt! In Tom's family, he and his brothers had to find all the eggs before they could get their gift baskets, so Whitley did the same. She played so well! Her little eyes scanned every inch of our downstairs! She really seemed to enjoy the basket the Easter Bunny left, especially the "Gotta Hop" rabbit. (She just LOVES toys that sing and dance!) After Whitley napped briefly, we headed to Aunt Mae Mae's for a
delicious Easter dinner. We had a few more Easter egg hunts, and everyone invited commented on how sweet, smiley and smart Whitley was. :) Whitley was seriously obsessed with her sweet Aunt Mae Mae. She only wanted to be held by her, and lavished on her many hugs and kisses. The pair laughed at Mae Mae's own singing, dancing bunny, found all the baby eggs in the yard, and shared ice cream. Now, we are home and worn out from all the food and fun, but extremely satisfied with our sunny holiday weekend. Thanks Gundies and Davis fam for helping to make it so special!

Oh! And we played "Rock Band!" I'd been dying to try it, and I guess Whitley felt the same! It's a blast, and I pretty much rocked the house. :)
