Vegas Baby!

Saturday evening we arrived home from a four-day, fun-filled, family trip to Vegas! It went by too fast! Last Tuesday morning we awoke super early to catch a 7:30 flight out there, and a loooong flight it was! Interestingly, we weren't the only family enduring the five hour trip, loaded down with car seats, Pack-N-Plays, strollers and such. A flight attendant actually asked Stacy if there was a "cute baby contest" going on in Vegas that week. :) Our babies were really good on the flight. Drew played nonstop, and Whitley napped some. Thankfully, it went a lot smoother than I had anticipated! CC and Day Day met us at the airport, and it was so exciting! Drew couldn't quite contain himself, running giddily in circles at baggage claim, while Whitley was insistent on CC holding her. She stretched her arms out and hollered angrily whenever she was released.
We lucked out with really great weather- sunny and 70's- and took advantage of the many pools at the Mandalay Bay almost every day we were there. We even rented a cabana two of the days, which was perfect, especially for the kids. It was nice to give Drew and Whitley a break from the hot sun and sand, and they enjoyed lounging on the couches, watching TV, and getting a drink from the fridge.
There is a lot to see in Vegas, and we tried to show Drew and Whitley a good bit of it! On our last day, we stomped from casino to casino, checking out various items of interest, including the lion habitat at MGM, the large, Atlantis fish tank in the Forum Shops, and the lunch buffet at Caesar's! Whitley ate quite a bit, as usual, and we joked that she might get charged full price.
Of course, we adults had lots of fun, too. Stacy and I went to three shows: "Tony and Tina's Wedding", Cirque Du Soleil's "Mystere", and David Spade's stand up. They were all very different, but extremely enjoyable!
CC and Day Day, thanks for hosting yet another fabulous trip! We miss you!
