Whitley had another rough week, visiting the doctor's office on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, she had a fever of 104.9 and underwent various tests, including a chest x-ray and blood work. Her pediatrician determined the illness was viral, in conjunction with an ear infection, and Whitley received a shot of antibiotic and a nebulizer, for breathing treatments. Fortunately, my mom was here to watch Whitley the rest of the week, administering numerous doses of the sweet and special affection that CC gives best. I can say with sincerity that Whitley's improvement has been dramatic. It is so obvious how much better she feels; her squeals and giggles have sounded throughout our house all weekend. What a delightful, reassuring sound!
However, the purpose of this blog is not just to summarize Whitley's recent illness; but to share what a sweet, sweet, sweet, affectionate little patient she is. My daughter is such a love! I believe I've noted before that Whitley routinely pauses in her playing to dole out hugs and kisses, and I know I've written about how she's my "snuggle bunny". Well, this week I've caught some of her little lovin' self on camera. :)
Whitley climbs on CC while watching Dora the Explorer. It was so cute! She would repeatedly lean forward on CC's knees, and then lean back for a hug!
Toys need love, too! Here's Whitley hugging "Learning Puppy" and kissing "Sweet Kitty."
But my favorite is getting one of Whitley's big kisses!!
