A Visit from Grammy and Papa

"Whitley's Week" is pleased to have two guest photographers and a guest author in this post! The first four photos are from Papa, the last five from Uncle Dave, and Tom wrote the narrative. :) Thanks, guys!

Last week, we received a visit from Whitley's Florida grandparents. Grammy and Papa came to watch Whitley for the week before Valentine's Day while she continued to recover from her multiple illnesses this winter. They were blessed with some beautiful weather so they wouldn't feel quite so removed from their Gulf Coast temperatures. Consequently, they were able to spend a fair amount of time on the deck enjoying the sun. Whitley had a great time playing, reading, eating, and walking. Using several of her favorite books, Whitley worked on some of her animal noises with Grammy and some of her colors with Papa. (You'll notice that Rocky didn't mind having a visit from his grandparents. Even though he looks a little sad in the photos, it is really fatigue from the multiple walks he was getting each day!) We also received several visits from Whitley's uncle Dave and aunt Terri during the week. It was nice to sit and have some long chats with the family. We ended the week with a dinner out at Tyler's in Durham before Grammy and Papa flew back home on Sunday. We were so glad we could see them again, as it would have been a long haul from Christmas to June. We miss them already, especially Whitley!
