Let's Catch Up...

I have not written any blogs recently because Whitley has had a rough few weeks! She had a cold for about a week, and then on Sunday, September 28, she woke up crying with a fever and drainage from her ear. We went to the doctor that afternoon, and she had an ear infection and some wheezing in her lungs. Well, two weeks, two more doctor visits, four medications, and multiple vomits later, she finally turned the corner, just in time for her birthday weekend! Apparently, my poor Whitley was catching various viruses one on top of the other. I don't know why or how, but she was a sick little thing for many sad days. Fortunately for her, as well as Tom and I, all of Whitley's grandparents were around. Tom's parents, Grammy and Papa, took care of her the first full week she was sick, and my mom, CC, took over the second week. Day Day arrived in Raleigh this past Wednesday, and we all were able to celebrate Whitley's health and first birthday together on Saturday. Her actual birthday is today, and what a wonderful day it has been. I will be sharing pics and notes in another blog tomorrow. :) Grammy, Papa, CC, and Day- thank you soooo much for the care you showed Whitley while she was sick! If kisses and hugs were medicine enough, she would have been cured in minutes! We miss you all!!
