Giving Thanks

Stacy, George, and the boys hosted Thanksgiving at their house this year, and it was such a wonderful day! My parents, Judy, Dave and Terri were all included along with us, and everyone contributed to the delicious meal and fun. My pretty Whitley. (And I see you there, sweet baby David!)

It was a gorgeous day, and we spent a lot of time outside. The kids ran around, playing some of our usual games- "Simon Says" and "Red Light/Green Light"- but we also made a lot of crafts!
I brought a few wooden Christmas ornaments for the kids to paint, and they were really enthusiastic about it. The ornaments turned out well! Day Day bought a giant craft kit, also, so Whitley, Drew, and I had a lot of fun with that. We sat outside together and made paper bag puppets, tissue paper flowers, sticker scenes, and a puffy sheep. Impressive, huh?

Whitley and Drew pose in front of the newly decorated tree. (We hung the painted ornaments on it to dry, and decided we liked the look!)

After dinner was over, and we were all stuffed, the kids watched a movie together. Dave sat down with them, and the three were immediately all over him! Whitley was happy to show off her uncle, and wouldn't leave his lap. :)

Pretty Aunt Terri was welcome to join in the snuggling.

While the boys clamored to sit with Stacy and Day Day. Now that's a full chair!

Post turkey dinner photo. Full and sleepy.

Thanks for having us, Stacy, and thanks to all for the good food!
