More Birthday Fun!

Just a few days after our great visit with the Watsons, CC and Day Day arrived to add to Whitley's birthday fun! They gave her a beautiful wooden princess castle, perfect for all of Whitley's Disney princess figurines. It has cute little furniture to go in it, as well. Whitley loved it right away and has played with it daily ever since! Then Saturday was a full day of fun, as Tom, Whitley and I attended Nolan's first birthday party around lunchtime before heading over to Stacy's for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Daddy grilled delicious steaks, and we had a wonderful time playing with the kids. The weekend wrapped up with Whitley's 2nd party on Sunday! The Davis family met us all at a corn maze to enjoy the beautiful weather. Drew and Whitley were so excited to run through the maze, and we all tried some yummy locally made ice cream. Tom grilled ribs at our house afterward, and we finished up with pumpkin cupcakes.

Whitley was content to read books at Nolan's house. She found The Hungry Caterpillar and read it over and over. (They must read it at school because she knew every word, and we don't own it!)

At Stacy's, Whitley (with Drew's help) opens up a cute gift from Mae Mae and Uncle Ralph. She got sweet wooden royals for her castle, and a fun dress-up doll!

Drew and Whitley were angels watching Beauty and the Beast while the adults ate dinner. Day Day joined them for the exciting ending! Drew gave Day Day the play-by-play, while Whitley nervously chewed her fingers.
