Whitley and CC with Dora and Boots!

Whitley and I have been very busy having fun with CC, Stacy, and Drew since we arrived home from MN, so I've been slow to post our last pictures from our week up north. However, I definitely wanted to share about a very exciting event that took place in MN. Whitley met her idol, Dora the Explorer! At the Mall of America, Dora attends a "Meet and Greet" with her little fans nearly every hour! We didn't have to wait in line very long before she showed up, and Whitley was soooo excited! She was hollering, "Dora! Dora!" and pulling on my hand. The two little girls in front of us were scared, and one of them burst into tears almost immediately. Well, you could just see Whitley's impatience as she kept trying to barge passed them, like, "Hey, if you don't want to meet her, then move out of my way!" Whitley was all talk, though, for she, too, got nervous when she approached Dora herself. I felt so bad for Whitley! She didn't want to leave Dora's sight, but she didn't want to get too close either. Oh, well. It was still a momentous occurrence, and we got a few pictures. AND Whitley had a blast at the Nickelodeon store there. Dora Dora everywhere!!!

Whitley sits on a Dora chair at a Dora table in front of a Dora bedroom set at the Nickelodeon store. They make everything!

We checked out all the displays at Lego Land at the Mall of America, as well!

After visiting the Mall of America, we dropped by Raising Cane's for lunch. This is a chain that originated in Baton Rouge, LA while I was in school at LSU, and they built one in MN of all places! Since I never get down to LA anymore, I look forward to eating Cane's chicken fingers every summer when I visit my parents. I was really hoping Whitley would love it as I do, but the only thing she ate much of was the ice! (They do have really good ice.)

Whitley had a nice bath every night in MN, because Day Day insisted that it makes you sleep better. (I have read that.) Well, one night, CC and I didn't feel like going through the whole tub routine, so we just gave Whitley a quick bath in the sink. She got a kick out of it!

One of the cute toys CC and Day had for Whitley was this little school bus. It didn't have a pedal, but a button she could push to make it go. (Just like her pink car at home.) She rode around some on the sidewalk up there, and it was just too cute!! I love the stop sign on the side!

Mom was going to be in NC for her birthday, so we did a little celebration with Day Day our last night there. We bought a cake and some brownies, and CC opened her presents. I think my mommy is very pretty and youthful!

Whitley helps CC open her presents from us. :)
