Yesterday, we returned home after an eight-day visit to New England, where we saw lots of relatives and some fun sights! Tom's parents rented their regular cabin on Burke Mountain in VT, and we spent five nights there. Mike and his three kids were there, as well, and the cousins had a wonderful time together. Scott, Mychaela, and Liam were all so sweet to Whitley, doting on her, sharing their toys, giving her hugs and kisses, and telling me how much they love her. :) Thursday, we drove to "Santa's Village," a cute little amusement park for children. Tom was so looking forward to sharing this place with Whitley and me, and was extremely disappointed that it rained on us the whole time we were there! However, the steady drizzle didn't dampen Whitley's enthusiasm at all! She laughed on every ride we went on, clapped and cheered during a live show, gobbled up gingerbread cookies, pointed out penguins and polar bears, tried to jump in all the puddles, and overall, had a fantastic time! She was asleep in the car before we left the parking lot! (One benefit of a rainy day: no lines! We rode rides over and over!) It continued to rain fairly steadily throughout our time in VT, so no hiking for Tom and me. We still took the kids on some walks, though, and had fun hanging out together around the house and downtown.

This ride was a hoot! It was dark with neon lights inside, so I thought Whitley might be scared, but she loved it, just like everything else. She rode it with me and Daddy!

This picture makes me laugh, because it looks like we're on a wild ride! Tom took the picture from the car he was "driving" so that's why it's blurry. We really weren't going fast at all! I don't know why we look so scared, though! :)

Mike and the kids enjoy "The Lion King". Whitley won't watch the whole thing, but she really likes seeing the whole animal kingdom at the beginning.
Mike gave Whitley a "pony ride" before they left on Sunday morning.
We tried to take some group shots of the kids, but I couldn't get them all to look! Liam wouldn't sit for it at all.
Sunday was a gorgeous day, and Tom and I went on a date that evening. These are some pictures from The Wild Flower Inn. We were going to eat dinner there, but the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Still, it is a pretty place to wander around.
