Holiday Happenings

Well, I know this blog is called "Whitley's Week," but I just can't help sharing what a great time I had last week!! Saturday night, Tom and I participated in a Santa Bar Crawl in celebration of my friend Katie's 30th birthday. There were about twenty of us dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus, hopping from place to place in Raleigh. It was so much fun! Strangers kept approaching us with compliments and Christmas lists, or hollering "Merry Christmas!" at us from their cars. I felt like a celebrity! Whitley spent the evening at Stacy's, where she played nonstop with Drew until bedtime. While I was there, they vroooomed cars along the coffee table and shared Drew's Cars chair. (I tried to get a picture of that, but they were on the move again by the time I got my camera ready. Those two are quick!) Then, on Sunday, my sweet Aunt Mary treated Melanie, Stacy and I to a delicious brunch, followed by a matinee showing of "The Nutcracker". Stacy and I absolutely loved the performance and decided that ballet is definitely for us! I may tower over the other tutus in a beginner's course, but by next year, I'll be a lil' sugar plum treat, myself! Here are some pictures from the weekend, as well as a quick video of Whitley with a Christmas card:

Tom got to play Santa for Whitley and Drew before we left. They were both a little unsure, at first. Stacy has super cute photos of their meeting on her blog!

Whitley has recently taken to cruising over towards the Christmas cards and pulling out the one from CC and Day Day. She has been chatting away to the pictures of Drew and herself since it arrived! It's so cute!!
