Puppy Love

When catching up with friends, we are often asked, "So, how do Whitley and Rocky get along?" or, "How has Rocky adjusted to life with a baby?" And initially, we just shrugged and replied that they were rather indifferent towards one another. After all, to an overwhelmed newborn, everything is curious, and Whitley preferred objects that blinked different colors or played music. Rocky, too, seemed overwhelmed by all the bluster and noise following Whitley's homecoming, and thus, sought solace in our closet for the majority of the day. However, a delightful change has occurred in our home, as our family is now very well-adjusted and settled. Whitley simply adores Rocky, and I credit him for her recent crawling advancements, as she spends many of her waking hours following him around. In turn, Rocky has abandoned his dark, private corners, and once again snoozes at our feet wherever we may be. He even seems to enjoy the ardent, awkward affection of his little sister, patiently enduring numerous pats, pokes and tugs. Here's a bit of evidence, as I took several photos and a little video, just yesterday afternoon. :)
