The Watsons embarked on our annual trip to new England on July 28th. We flew from Raleigh to New York and from there to Burlington, Vermont. We took part in a variety of activities throughout the week including a trip to Santa's Village, a trip across Vermont, and some pretty country drives. Whitley even got to go swimming at her dad's former place of employment: Power's Park (the water is still frigid there I am told)!
The weekend we were up there, the Hargreaves clan, along with Mike and the kids, joined us. We swam in a river and at Willoughby Lake, rode a chairlift, and spent some nice time catching up.
After a week in Vermont, we headed to Charlton, MA to stay at Aunt Joyce's camp and see some more relatives. We had a great time riding horses at Linda and Roger's with Avery and Cooper, as well as a great cookout at Shelley and Jonathan's. We had so much fun and are grateful for everyone's hospitality!

Willooughby Lake is a beautiful spot in the world. Mountains rise up on either side of it and the water is crystal clear.
The kids work pretty damn hard to dam up the stream running into the lake. The stream water was frigid, so I believe they were trying to warm up the lake.
