More Birthdays!

Whitley wasn't the only one to have a birthday party this autumn!  We also had fun celebrating Stacy's 33rd and Day Day's 65th.  Mom and Dad were in town for Stacy's, and picked up not one, but TWO, delicious cakes from Sam's.  I think we were all pretty happy about our options on that one.  :)  That same day, Whitley, Tom and I drove over to Raleigh to celebrate Nolan's 3rd birthday at the Kellett's.  They purchased a big pile of sand, and the kids had a great time playing in it, despite drizzling rain.  Whitley had multiple classmates with birthdays, too.  She attended one party with Tom in which she built and decorated a car out of a cardboard box, and on another weekend went to a "Fancy Nancy" dress up party with me.  Tom and I are really enjoying getting to the know the kids and parents at Whitley' pre-school.
Day Day's birthday was quite an affair!  On Sat. Nov. 3, we had cake at Stacy's in the afternoon.  That evening, the kids went to a local country club while we adults had a fancy dinner out.  It was the best plan because we all had such a fantastic time!  Whitley LOVED the giant playroom at the country club (with crafts, kitchen, video games, TVs, dodge-ball court- you name it!) and getting to play with the boys until 10:00 at night!  And we parents couldn't remember the last time we had sat down to a meal together without the kids.  We even went to a bar to watch the LSU game when the meal was over.  For Daddy's birthday present, Stacy and I took him to see "Jersey Boys" at the DPAC the following Tuesday.  We had dinner together first, and really liked the show.  We've always loved our Daddy/Daughter dates, and this one was a lot of fun!  Here are a few photos:

Two cakes!

Ted and Katie set up the garage for Nolan's party.  It was perfect with the rainy weather and sand!

Happy Birthday, Nolan!

Lots of sand!

My parents are so cute.  :)

Happy Birthday, Day Day!
