Easter Time

Easter weekend was so beautiful, and we tried to take full advantage of the weather with as much outside time as possible. On Saturday, Tom and I did a lot of work around the house, and Whitley was happy to help with Tom's flower gardens. The two went shopping and selected all the flowers, and then they worked together to get them planted. On Sunday, Whitley loved waking up to an egg hunt and a basket of presents. She was really excited about Easter this year, and the first thing she said when she awoke was, "Did the Easter Bunny come?" In the afternoon, we had dinner at Mae Mae's. She served a lovely and delicious spread, as usual, with ham, potatoes au gratin, salad and more! We were a small crowd, (the Davises and Melanie were all out of town) and Mae Mae lavished attention on Whitley, exclaiming how nice it was to have her "all to myself!" Those two hid and found eggs forever! Whitley also found out that the Easter Bunny visited the Gunderson's house, and left a treat for her there, too. How exciting! Thanks, Mae Mae! You spoiled us, as always! Working in the yard.

Helping Daddy with the soil.

Gathering eggs the Easter Bunny left.

Tons of tiny chocolate eggs were everywhere!

Getting her goodies.

There's the Darth Vader costume she wanted! She said she was sure he would bring her one!

A new Pinkalicious book.

The costume went on right away!

Putting together the Pinkalicious puzzle she got at Mae Mae's.

Seated for supper.

Whitley received a darling butterfly necklace, and was excited to wear it.

Sweet Mae Mae. Hiding eggs all over the yard!

And all along the Gundies's nice new porch.
