May Update #1: Slumber Party in Raleigh

Well, May has flown by, and I got seriously behind on blogging. I thought I'd catch you up with a few "updates" from the month. The weekend of the 12th, Tom went to the beach with some friends, and so Whitley and I headed to Raleigh to spend the night with our friends Katie and Nolan. We started the day with a visit to a children's museum where an interactive pirate ship and a entire floor of craft materials kept Whitley (and me!) pretty excited. We also ate lunch at a kid-friendly Mexican restaurant, slurped frozen custard at Goodberry's, and ran around the Kellett's yard a lot! The kids took a very entertaining bubble bath, and snuggled in for a story before bedtime. It was a really fun night, and a great opportunity for some quality time with close friends.

Whitley checks out a horse in the veterinary clinic.
And drives to an emergency!

"Thar she blows!!"

"Turning the wheel" is always a hit.

Nolan bounces "under the sea". (This was a very cute exhibit with a small aquarium and disco lights!)

You could build a whole house with the number of LEGO blocks they had- no joke!

The kiddos were seriously wound up when we took these pictures. There's just something about a big fluffy bed that is super fun! (Of course, Nolan actually slept in his crib.)

Whitley settles down for a little light reading. :)
