The beautiful spring weather continues as we woke up to a gorgeous Easter morning today. Whitley was very enthusiastic about finding all the eggs Peter Cottontail hid for her, and was pleased with her presents, as well. When she saw how pretty it was outside, though, she was ready to head to her one true love- her swingset! We were out and swinging by 8:00 AM, enjoying the morning sunshine and cheerful birdsongs. At 2:30 PM, we arrived at the Gundies' house to meet up with the Davis family for our annual Easter feast. (Mae Mae outdid herself once again!) All in all, we had a fantastic weekend of Easter fun!
Friday evening, we gave dying eggs a try. It turns out that this isn't quite as much fun as it is messy, but we did end up with some cute eggs. (Just not as many as planned... Whitley cracked one immediately after throwing it into a bowl of dye, and I dropped a few myself...)
Whitley instantly spied the dress Rapunzel wears in Tangled,
And promptly put it on before even looking at anything else! She loves to play, "dressed up!" (And I love her face in this picture. She looks like she's saying, "Is this really all mine?!)
Yea!!

The kids had an Easter egg hunt at Mae Mae's, too. Whitley is on the prowl!

We tried to get a group photo, but didn't have too much luck. However, I think they're all so stinkin' cute, even a bad picture is good!
David wanted to go get his basket before we took another one. :)

Here's Whitley a few days ago in front of her tree. This is the pink dogwood Tom planted when she was born. She and her tree sure are growing!
I don't know if I've ever loved any object like Whitley loves her swingset. She has gotten really good at swinging! It makes me nervous how high she goes!
