On August 5, we got together with the Davises and my parents to celebrate CC's birthday and David's 3rd birthday. First, we met at Stacy's for lunch. We wanted the first part of our day to recognize Mommy, so we had "CC's Salad Bar" with banana pudding for dessert. David and CC opened presents, too, and we quickly headed to Jordan Lake to meet the Gundies for David's Pirate Party on the water. Daddy rented a boat, Mary and Ralph drove theirs, and our whole crew divided up between the two for a nice cruise before settling in a cove for swimming, snacks, and cupcakes. It was a beautiful afternoon, and we spent the majority of it paddling around in the warm water. The kids loved kicking around in their life jackets, and undoubtedly burned a lot of energy doing so. Stacy and Mae Mae had lots of yummy snacks and drinks, David blew out the candles on his pirate cupcakes, and Mae Mae opened her birthday presents. It was such a pleasant evening- the time flew by- and we all had the best time!

| And I didn't even mention that the kids tubed, also! Whitley and I went first, and I was super nervous, but she loved it! When her turn was over, she cried! |
