We celebrated Tom's actual birthday with a trip to the bowling alley in the afternoon, and then the Durham Bulls' game at night. Karen and Liz joined us for both, and Ted, Dave, Terri, and Terri's parents attended the ball game. Whitley was such a good sport the whole day. She loves bowling, and was so excited about the baseball game, too. She loved looking for Wooley Bull again, and played forever on the playground. She never appeared tired, so we stayed for the whole game and the through the fireworks' show at the end. The loud bursts freaked her out, but she was amazed by the bright lights and colors. She covered her ears and cried some, but kept her eyes on the skies. She is still talking about the show; she was so proud of herself for watching it! We didn't get home until 11:30, so it was a late night for Whit, but she caught up on her sleep. (The next night she slept 14 hours!)
Hope you had a wonderful birthday, Tom!
